Overview Hydra Moderation Bot (“Hydra,” “we,” “our,” “the Bot”) is a Discord bot developed and operated by **Hydra Labs LLC**.\ By inviting or using Hydra in your Discord server or interacting with it through Discord, you agree to these Terms of Service. *** ## 2. Eligibility You must comply with the [Discord Terms of Service](https://discord.com/terms) and be at least **13 years old**, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use Hydra. *** ## 3. Bot Functionality Hydra provides automated moderation, AI-assisted content scanning, and server management tools. This includes: * Moderation commands such as `/ban`, `/kick`, `/timeout`, `/gban`, and `/warn`. * Logging of moderation actions, guild configurations, and user events. * Web dashboard access for guild administrators (if enabled). *** ## 4. User & Server Responsibilities By using Hydra: * You must not use Hydra for illegal activity, harassment, abuse, or any behavior that harms other users or communities. This includes, but is not limited to: {% hint style="warning" %} * Non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn") or threats to distribute such content * Incest-themed sexual content, including content that sexualizes familial relationships or dynamics (e.g., voyeuristic/"cuck" scenarios involving family members), regardless of whether direct sexual contact between family members occurs. * Content depicting minors, or fictional characters depicted as minors, in a sexual manner * Any other content prohibited under Discord's Community Guidelines or applicable law {% endhint %} - Users are responsible for their own actions and conduct while using Hydra. - Server owners and administrators are responsible for how Hydra is configured, used, and operated within their servers, and for taking reasonable steps to address harmful behavior within their community. - Server owners and administrators must not knowingly enable, tolerate, or fail to address sustained or harmful behavior, including harassment, abuse, or coordinated disruption. - Failure to maintain a safe and responsible environment may result in enforcement actions, including restrictions or removal from the Hydra network. {% hint style="info" %} 🚫 Impersonation, Abuse, and Misuse of Hydra * Creating or distributing **fake Hydra bots, clones, or impersonations** intended to mislead users, gain unauthorized access, or perform malicious actions * Attempting to trick users into adding unauthorized bots falsely presented as Hydra or affiliated services * Making **false, misleading, or defamatory claims** about Hydra, Hydra Labs, or its services with intent to harm reputation * Engaging in **malicious activity** using Hydra, including scams, phishing, harassment, or coordinated abuse * Copying, reproducing, or redistributing **Hydra branding, assets, or materials** (including logos, UI, commands, or documentation) without permission * Attempting to replicate or reverse-engineer Hydra’s systems, features, or services for deceptive or competitive misuse This does not restrict unrelated bots or services that use the name “Hydra” independently, provided they do not misrepresent affiliation with Hydra Labs. {% endhint %} {% hint style="info" %} 💼 Commercial & Unauthorized Use * Unauthorized commercial use of Hydra or its systems is prohibited unless explicitly approved by Hydra Labs * Reproducing or closely imitating Hydra’s services, features, or functionality in a way that causes confusion or impersonation is not allowed {% endhint %} {% hint style="warning" %} ⚠️ Enforcement **Violations of this section may result in:** * Immediate restriction or termination of access to Hydra * Inclusion in internal or network-wide enforcement systems (e.g., global bans) * Reporting to Discord or relevant authorities where applicable {% endhint %} *** ## 5. Lerna Global Ban System Hydra Labs operates a shared moderation system known as the **Lerna Global Ban Network** (“Lerna Network” or “Network”). By using Hydra, you acknowledge and agree to the following: {% stepper %} {% step %} ### Participating servers may share moderation data Participating servers may share moderation data (such as user IDs, usernames, and reasons for bans) with Hydra Labs for the purpose of maintaining the Network. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Network actions across participating servers The Network enables participating servers to automatically apply bans, kicks, or timeouts to users identified as violating global safety standards (e.g., harassment, hate speech, raids, suspected scam activity, financial exploitation schemes, financial domination (findom), predatory solicitation, or other malicious activity).\ \ This is based on [Discord's Sexual Solicitation Policy Explainer](https://discord.com/safety/sexual-solicitation-policy-explainer) {% hint style="info" %} Hydra Labs may issue Network-wide moderation actions, including global bans, against users who engage in, promote, advertise, solicit, recruit for, or facilitate financial domination (findom) activities. {% endhint %} {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Rights to act on shared data Hydra Labs and participating servers reserve the right to issue Network-wide moderation actions, including global bans, against users engaged in conduct deemed harmful, exploitative, abusive, deceptive, or otherwise unsafe to participating communities. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Appeals for global bans Users who are affected by a global ban may appeal the action through Hydra Labs’ support channels or designated appeal form. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Data Accuracy and Responsibility Disclaimer Hydra Labs does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of shared moderation data and is not responsible for actions taken by participating servers based on such data. {% endstep %} {% endstepper %} Hydra Labs does **not** represent or act on behalf of Discord Inc., and “global bans” apply only within participating communities, **not** across the Discord platform as a whole. {% hint style="warning" %} Users affected by a Global Ban may submit an appeal through Hydra Labs’ designated support channels. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee review or reversal of any enforcement action. {% endhint %} {% hint style="danger" %} Users who wish to challenge a Global Ban must submit an appeal. It is the user's responsibility to initiate the appeal process. Hydra Labs will not proactively review or remove a Global Ban on behalf of a banned user. If no appeal is submitted, the Global Ban will remain in effect until further notice. {% endhint %} *** ## 6. Lerna Blacklist System Hydra Labs LLC operates a centralized blacklist system known as the “Lerna Blacklist.” The Lerna Blacklist is used across Hydra-operated bots to detect, prevent, and mitigate: * Spam * Malicious automation * Abuse of bot functionality * Exploitation attempts * Repeated Terms of Service violations * Ban or restriction evasion Users placed on the Lerna Blacklist may be restricted from using some or all Hydra-operated bots. The Lerna Blacklist applies only to bots operated by Hydra Labs LLC and is not a public or third-party moderation network. Enforcement actions may be automated or manually reviewed. *** ## 7. Data Retention Hydra may temporarily or permanently store the following data: * User IDs, Guild IDs, and Channel IDs (for context and logging). * Moderation actions (warnings, bans, logs). * Server configuration data (e.g., roles allowed to use commands). Message and attachment data are deleted after moderation processing unless explicitly logged by the server configuration. AI analysis results are not publicly shared and are used only to detect harmful content. *** ## 8. Prohibited Uses You may **not**: * Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or interfere with Hydra or its APIs. * Circumvent moderation or abuse prevention systems. * Collect or redistribute Hydra’s AI classification data for external use. * Use Hydra in violation of Discord’s Developer Terms or Community Guidelines. *** ## 9. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hydra Labs LLC provides Hydra on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Hydra Labs LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access, loss of reputation, loss of revenue, or business interruption, arising out of or related to the use of, inability to use, or reliance on Hydra. This includes, without limitation, any damages resulting from moderation actions, Global Bans (Gban), automated or AI-based decisions, misclassification, or errors in enforcement. Hydra Labs LLC shall not be liable for any actions taken by users or participating servers based on data, reports, or enforcement decisions provided through the Hydra Network, even if Hydra Labs has been advised of the possibility of such damages. {% hint style="info" %} **Hydra Labs LLC Staff — Third-Party Server Participation** \ Hydra Labs LLC staff members may, in a personal capacity, hold roles (including Administrator, Moderator, or similar) in third-party Discord servers. Such participation is undertaken independently and does not constitute endorsement of, affiliation with, or responsibility for the content, rules, or conduct of those servers by Hydra Labs LLC. Hydra Labs LLC assumes no liability for actions taken or content hosted in third-party servers, regardless of the role held by any individual staff member therein. {% endhint %} *** ## 10. Termination We reserve the right to: * Suspend or block access to Hydra for individuals or servers abusing the system. * Modify, discontinue, or update Hydra at any time. *** ## 11. Global Ban (Gban) Policy Hydra may impose a Global Ban ("Gban") on any user, account, or community that, in Hydra’s reasonable and good-faith determination, presents a material risk to the safety, security, integrity, or trust of the Hydra network, its users, or any connected platforms or services. {% hint style="info" %} Such determinations may be based on internal data, observed behavior, credible reports, or other relevant information available to Hydra at the time of enforcement. {% endhint %} {% hint style="warning" %} Where a server's ownership, leadership, or moderation staff knowingly permits, condones, or facilitates the posting of prohibited content (as outlined in Section 4), Hydra may treat the server as a whole as being in violation. In such cases, Hydra reserves the right to impose a Gban against the server and its associated user base, regardless of individual members' direct involvement in the violation. {% endhint %} A Gban is a network-wide enforcement action that may restrict, suspend, or permanently revoke access to Hydra and any Hydra-connected systems, services, or integrations, and may prevent future access or participation within the Hydra ecosystem. Gban actions may be applied in cases including, but not limited to: * Coordinated harassment, targeted abuse, or sustained bullying * Cross-server raids or organized disruptive behavior * Malicious false accusations or defamation campaigns * Distribution or promotion of cheats, exploits, scams, or harmful content * Attempts to evade enforcement actions across multiple servers or accounts * Server environments that knowingly enable, tolerate, or support harmful or abusive behavior * Repeated or severe violations that demonstrate a pattern of misconduct * Sustained, severe, or coordinated toxic or abusive behavior that results in targeted harassment, community harm, or a pattern of disruption within or across multiple communities Hydra may consider all relevant factors when making enforcement decisions, including but not limited to user behavior, server environment, staff actions or inactions, prior violations, and any information, reports, or evidence that Hydra reasonably determines to be reliable at the time of enforcement. All Gban decisions are made in good faith and at Hydra’s sole discretion, based on available information, including but not limited to internal data, observed behavior, behavioral analysis, third-party reports, or any information Hydra reasonably deems reliable at the time of enforcement. Hydra is not obligated to provide prior notice, warnings, or detailed justification before issuing a Gban. Failure to provide such notice or explanation shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any enforcement action. However, Hydra may, at its sole discretion, review, modify, or reverse enforcement actions at any time, with or without notice. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hydra Labs LLC shall not be liable for any loss, damages, or claims arising from or related to the enforcement of a Global Ban or any related moderation action. Appeals & Contact If you believe your account, content, or activity has been moderated in error, or if you wish to request the deletion of stored data, you may submit a request to Hydra Labs through the designated support or contact channels. Submission of a request does not guarantee review, action, or reversal. Changes Hydra Labs LLC may update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will become effective immediately upon posting, unless otherwise stated. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of Hydra after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Where required by law or where changes materially affect user rights or obligations, Hydra may provide additional notice through appropriate channels.
