# Privacy Policy

## 1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how **Hydra Labs LLC** (“we,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects data processed by **Hydra Moderation Bot**.

## 2. Information We Collect

Hydra may process and temporarily store:

* **User data:** Discord user ID, username, and discriminator (for moderation tracking).
* **Guild data:** Server ID, name, role permissions, and configuration settings.
* **Log data:** Actions like bans, warnings, kicks, and timeouts.
* **Error and usage logs:** Non-personal diagnostic data to improve stability and performance.

Hydra does **not** collect passwords, private messages (DMs), or personal identifying information beyond what Discord provides through its API.

**Safety, Abuse, and Security Data**

Hydra Labs LLC may collect and retain information related to safety incidents, abuse reports, or illegal activity encountered by Hydra personnel or automated systems **in environments where Hydra services or personnel are legitimately present or have lawful access.**

This may include user identifiers, message identifiers, server identifiers, timestamps, and other relevant **metadata necessary to document incidents.**

**Safety and Security Enforcement**

Information may be used to detect, investigate, document, and prevent malicious activity, including spam campaigns, raids, harassment, or the promotion or distribution of illegal content.

Hydra Labs LLC may classify involved users or accounts within its moderation systems **for abuse prevention, moderation enforcement, and the protection of Hydra services and users.**

**Safety Data Retention**

Information related to safety incidents or abuse investigations may be retained for as long as necessary to investigate violations, comply with legal obligations, or prevent repeat abuse.

Hydra Labs LLC may share relevant safety information with service providers, platform operators, or law enforcement authorities when required to investigate illegal activity or comply with applicable laws.

## 3. How We Use Data

We use collected data to:

* Enforce moderation actions in Discord servers.
* Maintain logs and analytics for abuse prevention.
* Provide server configuration and dashboard features.
* Comply with Discord’s Developer Terms and legal obligations.

## 4. Third-Party Services

Hydra Labs LLC may integrate with or rely on third-party services to operate, maintain, and improve Hydra. These may include, but are not limited to:

* Platform providers (e.g., Discord API, Roblox services) for events, authentication, and user interactions
* Infrastructure and hosting providers for data storage, processing, and system operations
* Communication or support services for handling user requests and appeals

These third-party services may process limited user data solely for the purpose of providing their services to Hydra Labs. Hydra Labs does not sell, rent, or share user data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Hydra Labs requires that any third-party service providers handle data in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

## 5. Data Retention

## 6. Data Security

* All data is stored on secure, firewall-protected servers.
* Access to production databases is restricted to authorized Hydra Labs staff.
* Encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS) is enforced for all API communications.

## 7. User Rights

Users have the right to:

* Access personal data associated with their account or activity within Hydra.
* Request correction of data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
* Request deletion of stored data, where applicable and subject to Hydra’s legitimate interests.
* Submit appeals regarding moderation actions or Global Ban decisions.

Server owners may opt out of Hydra functionality by removing the bot from their server.

All requests and appeals are evaluated in good faith and at Hydra Labs LLC’s sole discretion, in accordance with applicable law and internal policies. Submission of a request does not guarantee review, action, or reversal.

## 8. Lerna Global Ban Data

Hydra Labs LLC may retain moderation and enforcement-related information associated with the Hydra Global Ban System for purposes including:

* Community protection
* Platform safety
* Security enforcement
* Abuse prevention
* Preventing ban evasion

Users subject to Hydra Global Ban enforcement may be restricted from accessing Hydra-operated communities, servers, or services.

## 9. Lerna Blacklist Data

Hydra Labs LLC may process and retain moderation and security-related information for operation of the Lerna Blacklist system across Hydra-operated bots.

This may include:

* Discord User IDs
* Guild or Server IDs
* Moderation records
* Ban reasons
* Abuse or security-related metadata

## 10. International Data Transfers

Hydra Labs LLC operates primarily from the United States. By using Hydra, you acknowledge and agree that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where Hydra Labs or its service providers operate.

These jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence. Hydra Labs takes reasonable steps to ensure that personal data is handled securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Where required by applicable law, Hydra Labs relies on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including standard contractual clauses or other legally recognized mechanisms.

By continuing to use Hydra, you consent to the transfer of your information as described in this section.

## 11. Children’s Privacy

Hydra Labs LLC does not knowingly collect, use, or process personal data from individuals under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law).

If Hydra Labs becomes aware that data has been collected from a user under the applicable minimum age, Hydra Labs will take reasonable steps to delete such data and, where necessary, restrict access to the Hydra services.

If you believe that a minor has provided personal data to Hydra in violation of this policy, please contact Hydra Labs through the designated support channels so that appropriate action can be taken.

Parents or legal guardians may also contact Hydra Labs to request review or deletion of a minor’s data, subject to verification and applicable law.

## 12. Changes to This Policy

Hydra Labs LLC may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will become effective immediately upon posting, unless otherwise stated.

Continued use of Hydra after any updates constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Privacy Policy.
