# Terms of Service

Welcome to the DeathNote Bot (the "Service") owned and operated by Hydra Labs LLC ("Hydra Labs"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service. By installing, running, or interacting with the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

### Who we are

### Acceptable use

* You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
* The Service is intended for harmless role-play uses. You must not use the Service to threaten, harass, or encourage real-world harm to any person or group.
* The Service must not be used to store sensitive personal data (financial, medical, government ID numbers, etc.).

### User content and notes

* The Service stores short "notes" created by users (timestamp, author id, optional target id, and free-text cause). These notes are used to provide the Service functionality such as `/list` and `/remove`.
* You represent that you have the right to submit any note content you provide and that such content does not violate these Terms.
* The Service may permanently store notes unless removed via the provided commands.

### Developer protection

* The Service may include developer protection features which prevent actions from being performed directly on a configured developer account; these are for project maintenance and safety.

### Third-party services

* The Service uses third-party APIs (for example, Giphy) to enhance user experience. By using the Service you agree to the fetch and display of third-party content governed by those providers' terms.

### Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. THE OPERATOR MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

### Termination

* The operator may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for any reason.
